League Classifications

All leagues are "open league" style unless specified otherwise. Please see below for definitions of the various classifications. We strive to have something for everyone, from the dodgeball virigin to the seasoned vet looking for the Himalaya of dodgeball and everyone in between. All leagues play with WDS no-sting rubber balls with the exception of our Bronson Style and when a specific Tourney Style League designates.

Rec League -

This is meant to be recreational by nature. This is the league that beginners, weekend warriors, and folks not looking to get too ultra serious about dodgeball should call home.  This is a great place for the casual player, the co-workers, and those looking to test the waters.

  • NO more than 2 players who have played in an advanced league per roster,
  • Standing headshots equal an out for the thrower
  • NO suicides allowed

Open League - these are the majority of our leagues

This is our standard league offering with players of all skill levels. This is where you'd go if you are looking to raise the stakes a little.

  • Teams may have no more than 10 advanced league players total (regardless of the gender) per roster

Advanced League -

This is for folks who might have developed a serious dodgeball habit.  Sure the emphasis is still on the fun, but the level of play is pretty high. This is kinda like where the modern day grade school all-stars call home. It's our highest level of league play. Balls fly upwards of 70 plus mph and action can be fast and furious. Team captains are more likely to be recruiting from the far reaches of the globe to build their uber dream teams.

Players must either have competed in:

  • 2 Open League Seasons of play
  • 1 Advanced League Season
  • or received a League Managers Exemption

Tourney Style League -

This style of play is for folks looking to mimic the tourney style of play. The format calls for smaller teams, less balls, shorter matches, as well as some different strategies.  This is a great place for folks who are looking for the opportunity to practice their dodgeball for tournaments.  This format will also cover a variety of different styles of play with individual seasons dedicated to (WDS No-sting, 8.5 rubber, and more)

Bronson League -

This is 8.5 rubber(the old school playground ball), hard core action. These balls are most likely to leave a mark.
